Surfing in Maui with Your Seiko

If you're ready to take on the waves in Hawaii, one of the best areas to go surfing is Maui. This is a surfer's paradise because not only are there quiet spots between the islands that are great for beginners to learn the ropes and master early skills such as standing on their boards, but it is a great way to build confidence in someone new to the sport of surfing.

There is one infamous spot called "Jaws". Jaws is a place where on any given day, the waves rise to 30-50 feet high. Surfers can't paddle out to ride the waves on Jaws and they must be towed out via wave runner or Seadoo.

You will often find a crowd of extreme surfing loving people at this location. As you know if you play in water, you're going to get wet. Your Seiko Watch will more than meet the challenge for riding those waves with you and if you fall off your board, no worries! Your watch is water resistant to 100-meters.

If you're environmentally friendly and you hate the idea of a watch battery, remember that Seiko is the company that patented kinetic energy watches, as you move - they wind. These are great timepieces for the active person. If you have recently acquired a new Seiko, take it surfing in Maui with you, even to the area known as "Jaws". Like you, it's built to meet the challenge!
