Watches Your Teenage Girl Will Love
Is there anything more frustrating than buying a gift for a teenage girl? If she's like most teenagers, the watch has to have the right "look" or it will be placed in a drawer and won't see the light of day during the rest of her teenage years. Here are three watches that will be on your teenager's wrist and not tossed in a drawer. 1-Kenneth Cole has a cool line of styles to please the pickiest teenager. They have dainty watches for the girl that doesn't like large pieces of jewelry. Also, there are more traditional styles for the girl that likes a plain watch and for the funky fashion hound on your gift-giving list, there is a large chunky digital display model that is large and loud.
2-Casio Baby-G watches are sharp looking and built to last. There are styles that are solar powered, which are fantastic for the girl that spends a lot of time outside. All six lines in the Baby-G series are shock resistant and water resistant so she can run, jump, swim, surf and participate in other outdoor activities without worrying about her watch. 3-Paul Frank watches are just fun. If she's quirky or artistic, she will love a Paul Frank watch. Emblazoned with his monkey icon, there are a good number of styles that have resin as well as steel bands and all are built to last. All are water resistant and come with a manufacture's warranty.
If you're looking for just the perfect gift for the teenage girl on your list, check out those three lines and you're sure to find the perfect watch for her wrist!

The Dangers of Buying Knock Off Brand Watches
You might want to save a buck or three by purchasing yourself a knock off watch such as a Seiko, Citizen or Paul Frank. You're proud that you are a savvy enough shopper to know a bargain when you see it and they do look like the real thing.
However, what you may not know is your might be endangering your health. Brand name watches made by the actual manufacturers are made to specific safety standards to conform to United States safety regulations for consumer items.
The knockoff brands are made from materials purchased from the lowest bidder and the plastics used can be made from melted down anything. You don't want to wear containers that used to carry pesticides and poisons on your body but those items have been used as melted down components in the making of the plastic wristbands of knock off watches. Imagine if a biohazard waste facility was the lowest bidder?
Next, the screws and metal parts used to construct the interior of the watch and hold the gears in place are often made using lead. Lead is far cheaper than steel and will hold up nicely, for a while. Lead is banned from items that will be used by consumers in items used for food consumption or items worn on the body. Also be aware lead is a common component in many paints used on items that are manufactured outside the United States. Lead was removed from use in commercially available consumer items in 1976 in the USA.
Last, the knock off watches have no warranty. If your "name brand" watch suddenly stops working. You pretty much have yourself a new paperweight, as they generally aren't worth fixing. Know what you buy and always go for the manufacturer's brand name watches, not only is it the smart choice, your health might depend on it!

Put a Watch in Their Easter Basket!
If you have a special boy or girl on your gift giving list this Easter and you're looking for a little something extra to add to their Easter basket, consider including a watch.
A watch is a great way for children to learn to tell time and also to be responsible. When a child owns a watch, you can arrange for them to be home at a certain time from a friend's house and you can bet that kid will be looking at his wrist every few minutes to make sure that he's on time!
The Nike Traix Junior Digital Watch is a great choice for most kids. It comes in sterling or blue and tells the time and date in 12 or 24-hour (military) time. The watch also has two alarms and a stopwatch. There is also a backlight for the time display that will allow the child to check the time at night. This watch is water resistant to 50-meters and is great for swimming pool or even the ocean. This watch is made durable and built to last through the exploits of the average child.
Timex has 16 styles to choose from. Whether your child is a dainty girl or a rough-n-tumble boy, there is a watch to suit their personality. As with all Timex watches, these are made to last with durable bands, steel casing, and water resistance.
Make the kid on your gift-giving list really grin this Easter morning with their own watch hidden in the basket with the chocolate bunny and other candies!
